My photography journey began in 2016 after my husband, David, passed away.
Photography and travel was the way I chose to start what I call my ‘Second Life’ and I’m so grateful that I did – it has taken me on an amazing journey.
Photography got me out of the house, and I have done some amazing road trips and photography tours since then.
Road trips and photography trips have become my companions, leading me to create this blog.
I’ve experienced so much, made countless mistakes, and I want to share that with you so your journey is easier.
That’s why I’m here – to help new photographers like you. Avoid the mistakes I made and provide you with the guidance and inspiration to create beautiful images of nature.
Now, you won’t just see a bunch of photos of me posing in jaw-dropping destinations with the caption “Living My Best Life”.
What you will find is plenty of photography and travel tips to encourage you to photograph your experiences, and enjoy stress-free travel.
I share my experiences and offer practical tips and guides to inspire you to venture out and explore what excites you.
Expect to find breathtaking images of landscapes, seascapes and nature, as I have a soft spot for capturing the beauty of the world around us.
(You won’t find photos of people here – as a rule I do not photograph things that talk!)
And by the way, I won Landscape Photo Of The Year in the World Nature Photography Awards! It was such an honour and a complete surprise.
It just goes to show what can happen if you follow your passion, put some work in, and have a bit of luck on your side.

When I first started I naively believed that all I needed to get great photos was to have a fancy camera – I would just click and create a masterpiece.
Clearly my first few outings with my camera were a disaster, but I was a bit of a slow learner, and assumed I just needed to buy more gear – better lenses, fancy filters – you name it I bought it!
Then I went on a couple of workshops and finally started to learn the basics – what a journey that triggered.
Fast forward a few years, and after much learning, practice and travels, I’m proud to share everything I’ve learned so you don’t make the expensive mistakes I’ve made.
